Helping women build and rebuild healthy relationships with themselves and others.

About Me

Hi! I'm Rychelle–Relationship coach. Writer. Creator. Advocate.

10 second bio:

  • I was born and raised in Pittsburgh by a single mom and my older brother
  • I have also lived in West Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, and now reside in Austin, Texas
  • I am a domestic violence survivor
  • I have worked as a domestic violence victim advocate, both providing emergency services to clients and giving prevention presentations to middle schools and high schools
  • I am currently working on my PhD in Criminal Justice with a focus on victimization
  • I train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

My mission is to prevent domestic violence by helping women build and rebuild healthy relationships with themselves and others.

How did I get to this point?

  • 2010: graduated high school and moved to West Virginia to start college as a psychology major
  • 2012: broke up with my controlling boyfriend of 5 years and immediately started dating someone else...someone "better"
  • 2013: broke up with the new guy because he was even more abusive
  • 2014: graduated college with TWO degrees, one in psychology and one in criminal justice despite being told I wasn't smart enough for college
  • 2014: started dating a guy who would quickly become my best friend and forever favorite human
  • 2015: started working at a domestic violence shelter
  • 2018: quit my job and moved to Tennessee to go back to school
  • 2020: graduated with my master's degree and moved to Kentucky to start a PhD program
  • Summer 2022: realized a career in traditional academia is not what I wanted
  • Summer 2022: started writing a weekly Substack newsletter
  • Fall 2022: rather than waiting until after I graduate, I started the journey of figuring out how to work for myself
  • Summer 2023: moved to Austin, Texas to be closer to other people doing creator and entrepreneurial work
  • January 2024: decided to pivot into relationship coaching so I can help people have healther and more fulfilling relationships, ultimately working toward preventing domestic violence from a new angle
